Founder Leslie Kahn is
a state licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the Chicago School
of Massage Therapy, August 1996. She is nationally certified and a
member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Leslie uses an
eclectic combination of massage techniques that she has mastered over
the past decade and tailors them to each individual's unique
situation. She encourages her clients to take responsibility for their
own well-being.
Martin Aistrope,
a native Brit, is a long standing member of the Screen Actors Guild,
American Federation of Theater and Radio Artists and Actors Equity
Association. He has voiced a number of national and local radio and
television commercials. He has appeared in several stage productions,
most notably, "A Christmas Carol" at the Goodman Theatre. He is also a
dialect coach. He is currently appearing with "Democracy Burlesque", a
political sketch comedy troupe.
Husband
and wife team Leslie and Martin have combined their talents to create a
unique company. They also are collaborating on raising their 6 year
old adopted son, Ethan, who supplies them with great material.
Helen Baylis
is an AFAA certified personal trainer, a World TaeKwonDo Federation
(WTF) certified 3rd degree Black Belt, and an ISCA certified Kickboxing
instructor. Helen has many years of experience teaching fitness
through Martial Arts, Kickboxing exercise and strength training. She
uses the motivational techniques and goal directed strategies employed
in Martial Arts training to assist clients to achieve life style
changes that lead them to a healthier, happier and more confident
life. Helen has also studied extensively in the use of elastic bands
in resistance training. She specializes in women and children's
fitness, but also is adept at working with men and seniors.
Julie Finkelstein
has been studying tai chi and sword forms at the Championship Martial
Arts Academy since 1988. She is a certified Zen Shiatsu bodyworker
through the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia
(AOBTA). Julie practices Soto Zen and teaches meditation at the
Udumbara Zen Center in Evanston. She is especially interested in
applying body and mind processes to affect creativity, problem solving
and living each moment fully with pleasure, joy and serenity.
